Clara started The Transformation Initiative (TTI) in 2007 after returning from a trip to Kenya where she saw first-hand the injustice that poverty had inflicted on the children in the slums.  

After making several trips to Kenya to research the areas most in need, Clara eventually moved there in 2011.  Since that time she has focused her efforts on working with children in hopes of helping them and their families through medical and educational assistance. Many of the children Clara works with today are the very same children she met on her first few trips to Kenya. 

Clara is originally from Houston Texas, where she grew up in a large family as one of nine children. She was a stay at home mom to her two sons before beginning a career in human resources and leadership development. Many of the principles she learned while teaching classes in corporate America are the things she now works to impart to the children in Kenya.
